Breast Surgery
Breast surgery comprises several aesthetic plastic surgery procedures designed to reshape one or both breasts. The aesthetic and physical benefits of breast surgery will vary depending on the procedure. Breast surgery undertaken by the doctors in this practice includes:
- Breast Augmentation – To increase small or asymmetrical breasts and achieve a larger, firmer and more shapely bust. This practice uses Mentor implants. PIP implants were used between March 2000 and February 2001 only.
- Breast Reduction – To decrease the size of large, heavy or asymmetric breasts. In some patients large breasts may cause pain to the breast, shoulders, lower neck and back. Breast reduction can enhance the posture, allow a greater range of physical activity and can help to maintain your overall appearance and self esteem.
- Breast Lift – To reshape sagging, empty breasts and improve their contour and firmness for a more youthful appearance.
- Breast Reconstruction – To restore breast, nipple and areola after the surgical removal of one or both breasts usually after cancer or a similar disease.
