At Canberra Plastic Surgery, we believe in individualised treatment plans that help our patients achieve their aesthetic goals. On your first visit to Canberra Plastic Surgery, one of our registered nurses will take you through a comprehensive consultation to get to know you and your aesthetic goals, and design a treatment plan that best serves you and your skin.

FAQs

Your first consultation will be with one of our experienced registered nurses: Megan, Ebony or Grace.

We believe in a comprehensive consultation. Together, we’ll discuss your skin, your ageing concerns and aesthetic goals, and talk through your treatment options and review your medical and aesthetic history.

During your consultation, we encourage you to ask questions, so you feel informed about your treatment options, and are an active participant in your treatment journey with us, whether or not you choose to proceed with treatment.

There are two types of ageing processes: intrinsic and extrinsic ageing. Intrinsic ageing affects the skin of the entire body and is the natural change our body goes through as we age. Extrinsic ageing compounds intrinsic ageing and is induced by environmental factors such as chronic sun exposure.

At Canberra Plastic Surgery we address the signs of intrinsic ageing such as the formation of fine lines and wrinkles, skin sagging or laxity and volume loss. We also address the signs of extrinsic ageing such as deep wrinkling, textural changes and features of photodamage.

Our consultations are designed to be informative and educational so that you can make informed decisions about your skin and your treatment journey. We encourage you to think about your options and the information presented to you. There will be no pressure to treat or book on the day.

Our consultations are complimentary and there is no pressure or expectation that you will proceed with treatment. During your consultation, we will discuss the costs associated with your treatment plan so that you can make informed financial decisions. Treatment costs vary depending on the treatment modality, product selection, individual anatomy, and degree of ageing.

This depends on your individual treatment plan, the degree of ageing, and your individual aesthetic goals. Typically, we treat fine lines and wrinkles every 3-6 months to maintain results, skin laxity concerns once per month for three months and then every 6-9 months, and concerns of volume loss every 9-24 months.
